What it is
Softly polished Rose Quartz beads — 108 plus the guru bead — hand-knotted with a blush tassel. Rose Quartz is the classical stone of the heart, and this is the mala we suggest for practice that is about kindness rather than concentration.
People use it in two ways: for japa with a heart-centred mantra, and simply as something to hold during a difficult few minutes.

How it is used
Held in the right hand over the middle finger and moved with the thumb, one bead per repetition, turning back at the guru bead rather than crossing it. If you do not have a mantra, the breath works: one full breath per bead, 108 breaths.
Store it wrapped and out of the sun. Rose Quartz genuinely pales with long exposure to strong light.
